Acre Nexus Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy explains non-warranty returns, exchanges, and refund timing for products sold by Acre Nexus (“Acre Nexus,” “we,” “us”) from or into Oslo, Minnesota. Acre Nexus does not provide product warranties or extended warranties on products. Product-related defects, failures, and warranty claims are handled solely under the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, if any. Warranty claims involving Acre Nexus installation or service workmanship are handled under the separate Acre Nexus Warranty Policy.


1. Definitions

  • Agricultural/Commercial Purchase: Products or services purchased for agricultural, commercial, operational, or field-use applications.
  • Original Purchaser: The first person or entity that bought the product or service from Acre Nexus or an authorized seller.
  • Proof of Purchase: Receipt, invoice, packing slip, order confirmation, service record, or other documentation showing date and place of purchase.
  • RMA: Return Merchandise Authorization number issued by Acre Nexus or the applicable manufacturer for authorized inspection or return processing.
  • Like-new: Unused, uninstalled, complete with original packaging and all parts, and resalable in new condition.


2. Returns & Exchanges (Non-Warranty)

We want returns to be straightforward and fair. Return eligibility depends on whether the item is a standard-stock item or special order, the condition of the item, and compliance with the return requirements in this policy.


2.1 Agricultural/Commercial Returns


  • Time window: Standard-stock items may be returned within 21 days of the invoice date by the Original Purchaser with Proof of Purchase.
  • Condition & inspection: Items must be unused, like-new, and resalable. Open packaging may be subject to inspection and fees.
  • Fees: Restocking fees, freight deductions, and inspection/testing charges may apply and will be communicated during the RMA process.
  • Credit vs. refund: Unless required by law or agreed in writing, returns may be issued as account credit rather than cash refund.
  • Non-returnable items: See Section 2.2.


2.2 Non-Returnable / Final Sale Items

  • Special-order or custom-configured items (including but not limited to custom pipe lengths, special voltage/impeller configurations, made-to-order control panels), unless defective or we shipped the wrong item.
  • Electrical items once installed, energized, or showing signs of use, unless defective.
  • Software, digital items, license keys, and downloadable products.
  • Items sold as Clearance, Used, Refurbished, or As-Is.
  • Consumables and chemicals are once opened.


3. Damaged, Defective-on-Arrival, or Incorrect Shipments

  • Report promptly: Inspect deliveries immediately. Report shipping damage or incorrect items within 5 business days of delivery.
  • Provide documentation: Keep all packaging and provide Proof of Purchase, photos of the item and packaging, and the product model or serial number if applicable.
  • Keep packaging: Save all boxes and packing materials for carrier inspection.
  • Shipping and fulfillment issues: If we confirm the item was damaged in transit or shipped incorrectly, we will arrange repair, replacement, return shipping, or another appropriate remedy.
  • Product defect claims: Product defects discovered after delivery or after use are not handled as standard non-warranty returns and must be addressed through the applicable manufacturer warranty, if any, unless otherwise required by law.


4. Return Logistics (RMA, Packaging, and Shipping)

  • RMA required: All returns must have an RMA number issued by Acre Nexus or, where applicable, the manufacturer.
  • Packaging: Items must be packaged securely to avoid damage in transit. Returns may be denied if inadequate packaging causes damage.
  • Freight: Unless we shipped the wrong item or the item is confirmed defective on arrival, outbound and return freight are the customer’s responsibility.
  • Risk of loss: Risk of loss transfers according to the shipping terms stated on your invoice (e.g., FOB shipping point or FOB destination, if listed).


5. Refund Timing

After we receive and inspect an approved return, refunds or credits are typically processed within 15 business days. Your bank or card issuer may require additional time to post the credit. If a returned item requires testing, refund timing may be extended to allow for evaluation.


6. Legal Notices & Important Disclosures

Posted policy notice (Minnesota): If Acre Nexus posts or provides a refund policy, ask us for the current posted policy at the point of sale.


Inspection and testing: Acre Nexus may inspect and, where appropriate, test returned items before approving a refund, credit, replacement, or other remedy.


Limitation of damages: To the extent permitted by law, Acre Nexus is not responsible for labor charges, diagnostic fees, travel time, removal or reinstallation costs, equipment rental, downtime, lost profits, crop loss, property damage, or incidental or consequential damages arising from returned items, delayed shipments, incompatibility, or alleged product failure.


7. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction in Minnesota unless otherwise required by applicable law.
